Michael Hatfield is senior vice president within the Community Development Banking unit at Bank of America Corporation. In this capacity Mr. Hatfield manages the real estate underwriting group for community development-based projects in the Northeast United States. He has been with the Bank of America and its legacy institutions for 16 years. Michael also currently serves as commissioner for the City of Boston's Public Facilities Commission (Department of Neighborhood Development); is a board member with the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation; and board member with the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation. In the past, Mr. Hatfield also served as finance subcommittee chair on Mayor Menino's “Blue Ribbon Affordable Housing Committee.” Previous to his banking career, Mr. Hatfield served at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, in Washington, D.C., within the Department of Community Planning and Development, and also while in Washington, worked on Capitol Hill for the House Committee on Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs, and for the Office of former Senator John Glenn of Ohio.
